About the Submissions

Entry is easy! Simply fill in the submission form, upload photos of your extreme project and explain what makes it extreme.
No, only projects completed on 3M graphic films are eligible for this contest.
Not at all. If you have pictures of an extreme project your shop completed in the ‘80s and you think it will win the qualifying round, please feel free to submit it. Just be prepared to explain what made it extreme and list an installer to compete in the Extreme Wrap Competition.
The best answer comes from your experience. If you can explain what makes your project extreme in a succinct and meaningful way, your entry just may win in the qualifying round. Take a look at your portfolio and see if there are any projects that made you think outside the box to make the graphic come to life. See the Inspiration section of this website to learn more.
The panel of judges will review online entries to determine the three winners of the qualifying round using weighted criteria. The same judges will attend the day-long Extreme Wrap Challenge event and evaluate the contenders using their expertise.
No, the installer listed does not have to be a 3M Preferred Installer, but the evaluation during the event may include marks given for techniques, tips and tricks learned during the 3M Preferred Installer course.
No, both of 3M's Preferred Installer Trainers were involved in designing the Extreme Wrap Challenge and are not able to be listed as installers in the entry for this contest.
For an overview of the Extreme Wrap Challenge, visit the Details section of this site. Before officially becoming a contestant, three eligible installers from the qualifying round will be contacted in mid-August. When they complete their skill-testing question and confirm they will compete in the Extreme Wrap Challenge in September, they will receive specific information to prepare them for the event.

About the Extreme Wrap Challenge

The Extreme Wrap Challenge is a one-day competition that will have three contenders complete three challenges in three locations. Each challenge will be timed (one hour for each challenge) and will be completed entirely on 3M™ Envision™ Print Wrap Film.
3M™ Envision™ Print Wrap Film 480Cv3 is designed to work in all of these extreme situations including extreme heat, extreme stretch and extreme texture. Because of its versatility, it's an ideal product to have in inventory in every digital printing sign shop.
Yes, part of the evaluation by the judges includes preparation. Judges are watching to see if the installers have the right tools required for the job. 3M will prepare the three contenders for the day-long event.
3M will work with the three contenders to arrange for their travel and accommodations in the Extreme Wrap Challenge. For details of costs 3M will cover, please see the official Rules & Regulations.
The sign shop that wins the qualifying round lists an installer for the Extreme Wrap Challenge during the entry. If the person listed is unable to attend the one-day event, the sign shop will have an opportunity to list another contender
