Jessica Leong is the graphic designer at Design Exchange, Canada's Design Museum. Leong graduated from OCAD University in Toronto and has since worked at a variety of design practices including E.R.A. Architects, Bruce Mau Design and go! Labs at Indigo Books and Music. She has worked on the branding and environmental identities for projects such as Maple Leaf Gardens, General Electric, and Target Canada. At Design Exchange, her responsibilities include the creation and development of exhibition components such as large-scale supergraphics and information plaques, as well as the branding and communications for related programming and education initiatives.
Peter Saunders is editor of Sign Media Canada. Born and raised in Toronto, he earned his honours degree in journalism at the University of King's College in Halifax. He began editing Signs Canada in 2002 and has been covering the industry ever since, from wide-format printing and vehicle wraps to digital signage and video walls.
Brandon Blancher has been in the Graphic, Vinyl, and Printing business since 1986. He has a vast understanding of all aspects of the printing and wrapping industry. He is a well-recognized 3M Preferred Installer, as well as Head Trainer and Judge for the testing accreditation of the 3M Preferred Installer Program. Brandon, through his expertise and dedication has been asked to complete numerous projects throughout Canada and the USA. To date, Brandon has wrapped items from hockey sticks to entire buildings. Brandon has invested years of time; effort and passion in becoming a leader in his field, and continues to uphold these high standards on a daily basis. This has earned him the prestigious honor of being classed as one of the best.
Marcio Oliveira (3M Technical Service)
Marcio was born in a very small town in Brazil and still has dual citizenship for the United States and Brazil. When he was born he came home from the hospital riding on the back of a motorcycle, and he's been hooked on motorcycles ever since. He drove from Minnesota to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota for the first time at age 14. He's been a private pilot and has owned three small planes. He calls himself a recovering Corvette-aholic, having owned 17 Corvettes. Marcio has done restoration and customization, of motorcycles, cars and airplanes from bodywork, to painting and even vinyl, since he was 14 years old.
It's very apparent Marcio enjoys his job at 3M, having worked there for the past 30 years. His current position within 3M's Commercial Solutions Division is Technical Service Supervisor for Installation Training and Testing Programs. He is the driving force behind the global 3M Graphics Installer Training and Testing Programs. His many years of graphics installation training have taken him to countries all over the world from North America to Central America, to Asia and even to the Middle East.
He considers himself blessed to be a 3M trainer and says the most enjoyable part of training is seeing customer's creativity and artistic ability, and then having them push their boundaries to become even more creative and more successful.
